Work Experience

Thehut.com – Web Designer

Thehut.com provides white label e-commerce solutions for large retail websites. Clients include; ASDA, LOVEFiLM, Curry’s, Dixon’s, PC World, MBNA and many more.

I started here as a junior web designer. Over my 3 years here my knowledge in all areas of design has grown rapidly giving me the confidence to manage a team of 3 junior designers, helping them with constant training and support.

I have pitched for clients and ensured completion of projects maintaining 100% satisfaction through effective maintenance and development. I work within a team building websites, designing banners and bespoke department pages on a daily basis. I design, build and distribute the ASDA Entertainment newsletter to over 1 million customers on a weekly basis, this involves liaising with staff and clients to maintain a high reputation and increase sales.

Other daily tasks include providing an extensive reporting solution through Google Analytics. Through keen on-page optimisation ASDA Entertainment, Boots and The Hut.com have achieved first page rankings on Google.co.uk for ASDA Entertainment, Boots and The Hut.com. As a result of effective web design and development The Hut.com has attracted various top name clients increasing sales and profitability of the company.
